Mayor Establishes Fund To Aid Mendonsa Family
posted November 22, 2005

Mayor Ron Littlefield announced the establishment of a fund to support the Mendonsa family.

“Over many years, Andy Mendonsa and his family have given tremendously to this community through their service at Inner City Ministries and Widows Harvest Ministry,” said Mayor Littlefield. “During the past six months, they have experienced a series of unfathomable losses and I would encourage our generous community to consider reaching out to them in their time of need.”

Earlier this year, Asher, the oldest son of Andy and Gloria Mendonsa, fell through a hole at the top of the Parkway Towers and was left a quadriplegic. Soon after that horrific accident, a tree fell on the Mendonsa house in St. Elmo causing extensive damage. Then, this past weekend, the couple’s 19 year-old daughter, Hadrienne, was involved in a tragic automobile accident, eventually succumbing to her injuries.

A fund for the Mendonsa family has been established through the Chattanooga Christian Community Foundation. Those wishing to give may do so by making checks payable to:
