Lanham Bible Bookstore Leaving Brainerd Village After 38 Years posted December 13, 2005 Lanham Bible Bookstore is leaving Brainerd Village shopping center after 38 years. Manager Shaun Coulter said Lanham's is moving to the new commercial center next to Aldi grocery at Lee Highway and East Brainerd Road. He cited differences with out-of-town management at Brainerd Village and said the new location will allow the entire operation to be at one place. There is a divider between two sections of the store at the current location. Lanham's will be closed Dec. 25 to Jan. 1, then open at the new site on Jan. 2. The store has 10 employees. It was started by John and Ruth Lanham and was sold to Don and Sue Jordan in 2000. Lanham's was the senior tenant at Brainerd Village except for Rone-Regency Jewelers. Southern Art and Framing also recently moved out of Brainerd Village. |
