Fire destroyed the home of stockbroker Doyle Attaway on Lookout Mountain on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Attaway and his wife, Martha, were out of the country and the house at 1330 Scenic Highway was being remodeled.
The fire broke out at the flagstone home at West Brow just before noon.
The couple had lived in the home about 15 years.
Mr. Attaway was a regular on the Earl Freudenberg morning radio show on WDOD for many years.
