Corker Agrees To Take Part In Candidate Forum
posted December 14, 2005

Bob Corker’s campaign for the United States Senate announced Wednesday that it has accepted an invitation by the Associated Press and the Tennessee Press Association to participate in a candidate forum at their annual winter meeting on Feb. 9.

“We have spent the last year building a strong grassroots organization and spreading our conservative and constructive message across Tennessee,” said Mr. Corker. “This positive message of using conservative principles to get results is resonating with voters and I look forward to sharing it further at this event.”

The two-hour candidate forum is scheduled to take place in Nashville before an audience of reporters and editors of the Tennessee Press Association. Clint Brewer of the Lebanon Democrat will be the moderator.

“I am excited about this forum because it provides an opportunity for all of the candidates to vigorously debate the vital issues facing our state and country in a format that highlights the differences and similarities in each of our platforms,” said the former Chattanooga mayor.
