Corker Plants Campaign Headquarters In Chattanooga posted January 19, 2006 Former Chattanooga Mayor Bob Corker opened his campaign headquarters in downtown Chattanooga Thursday night, saying he wants to become the first U.S. senator from the city in 30 years. Over 300 people were at the campaign opening on Georgia Avenue. He said the official campaign launch will also be in Chattanooga. It will be March 4 in the Chattanooga Center for Creative Arts gymnasium. He is the leading fundraiser thus far in the GOP primary to take the seat being vacated by Republican Bill Frist. Former Congressmen Van Hilleary and Ed Bryant are also in the race. |
