Review for Biscuit Burners:
From being showcased on NPR’s Mountain Stage to BBC World’s Destination Music, there is no mistaking that The Biscuit Burners are here to stay. A fresh approach to acoustic music with roots that date as far back as mountain music can reach, The Biscuit Burners offer their Fiery Mountain Music with innovative instrumentation, resplendent harmonies, and captivating original material. Their unique yet familiar material pulls strong from their respect of traditional mountain music, their love of bluegrass and classic country, and their appreciation of music from the far corners of the world.

The road ahead takes the band coast to coast three times this year, as well as performances at Merlefest, a five day stand at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo., and the Four Corners Folk Fest in Pagosa Springs, Co. The band has the opportunity to open for the Del McCoury Band in Winston Salem, N.C. in March as well. They are also finishing their record with a release date expected in late summer.

The Biscuit Burners are Shannon Whitworth (clawhammer banjo, acoustic guitar, and vocals),Mary Lucey (acoustic bass, vocals),Bill Cardine (resophonic guitar, vocals),John Stickley (mandolin) and Dan Bletz (acoustic guitar).
