Thelma Jewell Morgan, 83, died on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, in a local nursing home.
She was born in Guild, TN, to the late Henry and Velda Reeves, and she was preceded in death by her son, Lamar Morgan; and husband, Carl Morgan.
She attended Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by her son, Donald Morgan, of Fort Oglethorpe; brothers, A. J. Reeves, and Joe Reeves, both of Nashville, Delores Barham, of Hixson, Joyce West, of Atlanta; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, in the chapel with the Rev. Joe Brown Officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Thursday, and prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Battlefield Parkway Church of the Nazarene, 3220 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742.
Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
