District Attorney Cox, Police Meet With Club Fathom Owner Seek To Voluntarily Work Out Concerns posted August 24, 2006 District Attorney Bill Cox and members of the Chattanooga Police Department's civil enforcement division met Thursday on concerns over incidents at Club Fathom downtown. Also attending the meeting were Club Fathom owner Tim Reid and his attorney, Steve Duggins. District Attorney Cox said the civil enforcement unit prepared a proposed security plan relating to the club located across from Jack's Alley in the 400 block of Market Street. He said the club owner indicated he and his attorney will review the plan next week. Mr. Cox said, "There is the possibility that security concerns about Club Fathom may be resolved on a voluntary basis." City Police recently gave the district attorney a packet of information regarding incidents related to Club Fathom. Club Fathom is a church that has a Christian ministry for teens as well as those of other ages, club officials said. |
