Dayton Angler Takes 3rd Place in BFL 147 boats began competition Thursday posted October 14, 2006 The $8.8 million Wal-Mart Bass Fishing League finished up on Chickamauga Lake Saturday. J. McMillon from Dayton, Tenn. took 3rd Place with a 3-day total of 31 lbs. 9 ozs. McMillon won $2,000. First Place was Thomas Southern from Sylacauga, Ala. He won a new Chevy Truck and Ranger boat. Eric Peeler from Calhoun, Ga. took 3rd Place in the co-angler division. Go HERE to see the results. Boaters and co-anglers who finished in the top six on Chickamauga also advance to the $1 million no-entry-fee 2007 All-American championship presented by Chevy where they will fish for as much as $140,000 in the Boater Division and $70,000 in the Co-angler Division. The winning boater and co-angler at the All-American will also advance to the no-entry-fee $2 million Forrest Wood Cup in Hot Springs, Ark., Aug. 2-5, 2007. This event, featuring a top award of $1 million, is the most lucrative tournament in all of competitive bass fishing. The anglers qualified for the Regional Championship through a series of four one-day tournaments and a two-day Super Tournament in each of their respective divisions. In BFL competition, boaters supply the boat and compete from the front deck against other boaters. Co-anglers compete from the back deck against other co-anglers. |
