Chattanooga Attorney Hired In Hot Country Music Divorce Case posted October 17, 2006 A Chattanooga attorney has gotten in the mix in a hot country music divorce case. Ronnie Berke has been hired to represent the nanny of country singer Sara Evans, who filed for divorce and claimed nanny Alison Clinton was having an affair with her husband. Attorney Berke and Ms. Clinton issued a statement on Tuesday, emphatically denying the charge that she was romantically involved with Craig Schelske. Ms. Clinton was interviewed by a reporter for Inside Edition at the Berke office. Shots of Coolidge Park were shown during the TV piece. Ms. Clinton said in the statement, "I am crushed. I thought Sara was my friend. I have never been anything but loyal to her and her family. I cannot understand this, but now I am forced to clear my name in order to preserve the best possible future for me and my family." Attorney Berke called the allegations libelous and demanded an immediate retraction. The statement said Ms. Evans could face a multi-million-dollar lawsuit if she does not withdraw her charges. Ms. Clinton, who lives in Nashville, is newly married. Ms. Evans was matron of honor at the wedding. Attorney Berke, who is with the firm of Berke, Berke and Berke, is past president of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. |
