Trio Indicted In Mortgage Fraud
posted October 25, 2006

Three people were indicted by a federal grand jury on Tuesday on mortgage fraud.

The indictments were brought against Darren Todd Moyer, Phillip Howard McKinnish and Jennifer Jewel Henson, of Baltic Mortgage Company.

The indictment said the trio were involved in a scheme starting in 2000 to defraud Indymac Bank of Pasadena, Calif., by filing false mortgage papers.

It says the defendants prepared false loan applications, misrepresented the amounts of down payments made by borrowers and inflated true sales prices.

They caused inflated fees, service charges and commissions to be generated, prosecutors said.

Properties involved include 2104 Bennett, 2513 Wilder, 1537 Lillian, 1713 Carson, 211 Ridgewood, 2508 E. 17th and 2608 Glass.
