Tortilla Factory Closes, Burger Bar Takes Its Place posted October 27, 2006 The Tortilla Factory has closed its location near the Tennessee Aquarium, and the Chattanooga Burger Bar has opened in its place. The owners of Atlanta-based Taco Mac and Ben Crosland of Chattanooga opened the new burgar bar. It is described as a new "quick-casual" family-oriented counter service restaurant located in the old Coca-Cola Bottling Plant building at Second and Broad. Mr. Crosland said it is "the city's first urban burger eatery with unique burgers, fresh ingredients, video games, plasma TVs and funky music." He said the menu offers everything from "The Hubcap," a burger topped with a fried egg, bacon and cheese, to salads and fried pickles. The CBB offers a full bar and is the home of the "Trucker Bucket"- a hodgepodge of five value-priced beers. Burgers range in price from $5.50 to $8.50 and include your choice of three different types of fries. Draught and bottle beers start at $2. The CBB is a smoke-free establishment with Wi-Fi. Kids' meals are all $3.50 and come standard with a Moon Pie. The Chattanooga Burger Bar opens at 11 a.m. daily. (423) 756-6399 phone (423) 756-6409 |
