Italian Cuisine In Lookout Valley

Joe Fidelibus bought a farm on Sand Mountain after 20 years in the hospitality business in Atlanta. But retirement was not yet on the horizon.

He is operating Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant in Lookout Valley on the Super Wal-Mart campus Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant.

The restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine in a family friendly Mediterranean atmosphere.

Joe Fidelibus has been in the hospitality industry for 34 years. He was at the Fairyland Club on Lookout Mountain in the early 1980s.

A graduate Diablo Valley Culinary School (San Francisco), he has also worked as a chef in San Francisco and Allentown, Pa.

He spent the last 20 years with Little Gardens Restaurant, a fine dining/special event antebellum estate as vice president and executive chef.

His wife, Gaye Ivey Fidelibus, a native of Trenton, Ga., and mother to the couple’s three children, is retired from BellSouth where she served as the executive, assistant to the associate general counsel.

Seeing a need for a full-service restaurant in Lookout Valley, Joe and Gaye relocated to their home in the North Georgia mountains early in the summer and began developing Alfredo’s, which opened in October. The restaurant is named for Joe’s 82-year-old father.

The restaurant features hand tossed, stone baked pizzas, Stromboli’s, calzone, pasta entrees, entrée specialties, entrée salads, children’s menu (with coloring book) and tempting desserts. All of the menu items are made from scratch and to order. Alfredo’s serves lunch and dinner seven days a week from 11-9. The restaurant also serves a wide selection of beer and wine.

The restaurant's Tuscany Room is available at no additional cost for groups up to 40.

To-go orders are welcomed as well as pick-up catering.
