The city is calling on "Rocky the Recycling Raccoon," to help boost the recycling program.
Rocky is to be introduced by Mayor Ron Littlefield at the Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
The event is to introduce "Chattanooga’s newest mascot, and tell about the exciting events and activities planned for recycling in 2007."
Orange Grove Center will be on hand to answer questions about recycling.
Rocky will be giving out maps, guidelines, and some stuffed animals and T-shirts.
