A firm at the Business Development Center is seeking to "change the reason you drink coffee."

Andy Tallent said Rewired Roasters focuses on a high quality brew, while at the same time partnering to benefit good causes.

He said, "Rewired Roasters roasts only the highest quality Arabica beans available. We use custom blends, single origins and all are roasted to order."

Mr. Tallent said Rewired Roasters has over 10 years experience in the specialty coffee industry, and private labeling and wholesale are available

He states, "Coffee is about people, community, and relationships. Our business has been built on this foundation.

"Every bean roasted benefits one of our partnering non-profit organizations, schools or community foundations. Supporters can easily purchase on behalf of our great partners online at www.rewiredroasters.com

"People can also support these organizations by making the coffee available to patrons at restaurants, offices, and anywhere great coffee is sold and expected."

Mr. Tallent said, "Every day Americans drink over 300 million cups of coffee. A majority of those cups are brewed at home. Imagine if only a small portion of those cups used beans that impacted their community in a positive way. This is our target audience. Our product offerings and fundraising program partnerships is our tangible demonstration of our commitment to people, community, and relationships.

"Because no partnership or relationship is identical, we work with organizations to be of greatest support to their needs.

"Our school fundraising programs are designed to make the most impact to fundraising needs. Our programs continue to generate funds all year long, without requiring additional PTA, Staff, or Booster Club involvement."

Mr. Tallent said, "The end results of our career is not to calculate how much coffee we sold through the years or how much profit we were able to generate, but rather how our business was able to make difference in the lives of people. For we truly believe, coffee is about people."

Current partnering organizations with Rewired Roasters include:

- Make-A-Wish Foundation of East Tennessee
- Creative Discovery Museum
- J103 – Partners for Christian Media
