Denim & Diamonds Goes West Gala Is Jan. 27 posted January 19, 2007
Project Access is a physician-led program that coordinates free medical care and services for low-income Hamilton County residents who do not have insurance. Many of these people are employed by companies throughout Chattanooga, often working part-time so they are not eligible for employment-based health insurance. Project Access is a community health partnership between the Medical Society and Medical Foundation, with Erlanger, Memorial and Parkridge Hospital Systems, Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation, community health centers and several other organizations. The evening will include food, line dancing and music provided by Gene Lovin, Texas hold-em and other funny money gaming, a mechanical bull, a quick draw competition, "Lock up for Laughs," and other surprises. Planning committee members include Milli Yium, Brooke Ingle, Diane Parks, Jayme Upton, Melissa McConaty, Gene Lovin, Jan Headrick, Jayne Brzezienski, Chala Osborne, Jennifer Martin, Rae Bond, Wendy Porto, Lisa Roche, Pam Griffey, and Angie Gamble. The event will be held at the Read House. Tickets are $100 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight. Tickets are available at any First Tennessee Financial Center in Hamilton County or call the Medical Society at (423) 622-2872.
