Billy L. Coulter, 72, of Kensington, Ga., died on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002.
Mr. Coulter was a native and lifelong resident of Walker County. He was a deacon and devoted lay member of Cassandra Baptist Church. He was a former member of Flintstone Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Combustion Engineering after 37 years in maintenance.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Virgie Johnson Coulter; brothers, Hubert, Audrey, and Fred Coulter; sisters, Velma Myers, Ruby Coulter and Katherine Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Bell Coulter of Kensington; daughter, Cecelia Coulter of Cleveland, Tn.; sons, Felix Dexter Coulter of Dalton, Ga., Alton Terrell Coulter of Murfreesboro, Tn.; sister, Dorothy Silvers of Chattanooga; brother, Kenneth Coulter of Summerville, Ga.; grandchildren, Seth, Hannah, Carly, and Chad Coulter, Heidi and Rebekah Grubbs; nine nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Flinstone Baptist Church with Rev. Marty McRae and Rev. David Pickard officiating.
Interment will follow in Coulter Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday after 2 p.m. and Mr. Coulter will lie in state one hour prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cassandra Baptist Church Building.
