Joy Anderson White, a longtime resident of Chattanooga, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003.
Mrs. White was born in Canton, Ga., the daughter of the late John and Beatrice Hartman Anderson. She had been a caregiver in the Chattanooga area for many years.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Edward White; and a brother, Ernest Anderson.
She is survived by four sons, Ronnie White, Flintstone, Ga., Dewayne White, Phillip White and Mark White, all of Chattanooga; sister, Pauline Cain, Baltimore, Md.; four grandsons, five granddaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Quillen Thurman officiating.
Memorial contributions maybe made to Hospitalized Veterans, 3685 Penfield Lane, Winchester, CA 92596.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from noon to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 27, and Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
