Members of the Schimmels family and the Lee University community met to dedicate Cliff Schimmels Park, in memory of Dr. Cliff Schimmels.

The park features picnic areas, park benches, a pavilion, and a half-mile track.

It is already a favorite recreation spot for employees, students, and neighbors of Lee.
