Margaret Elizabeth Williams Robbins, born July 17, 1914, on Walden's Ridge (now Walden, Tn.), died recently.

She was the daughter of Annie Scholze Williams whose parents came from Saxony, Germany, and Joe V. Williams Sr., who served as Hamilton County Judge and authored a biography of his father, James Tate Williams. Her paternal grandfather, Robert S. Scholze, founded Scholze Tannery. Her aunts were Sophie Scholze Long and Nell Scholze Cole and her uncles were George and Alfred Scholze.

She grew up in North Chattanooga, attended GPS, graduated from Dana Hall School, attended Wellsley College, and graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School, Boston, Ma. She served as queen of Roosevelt Ball in Chattanooga in 1937. She was married to Frank M. Robbins Jr., son of Frank M. Robbins III, married to Eloise Darr Robbins, Joseph Williams Robbins, married to Genie Herman Robbins, James Tate Robbins married to Catherine Eager Robbins and Robert Scholze Robbins married to Sandra Jo Robbins.

She was active in the First Presbyterian Church, The Junior League of Chattanooga, The Nancy War Chapter of the DAR, The Children's Home, and The Riverview Garden Club.

Her grandchildren are Winston Spencer Robins, Frank M. Robbins IV, Edward Darr Robbins, Joseph Williams Robbins Jr., Eugene Matthew Robbins, Peter Robert Robbins, Oliver Frank Robbins, John Walker Robbins whose wife is Jennie Robbins, Margaret Elizabeth Robbins, Katherine Robbins, Ava Robbins, and Theodore Robbins.

Her two brothers, both deceased, were Robert Scholze Williams and Joseph Vincent Williams Jr.; her sister, also deceased, was Gertrude Williams (Mrs. Charlers Marion) Gaston; among her many cousins is Nelsie Scholze Long; her nieces and nephews include Elaine Williams, R.L. Williams, Margaret Williams Sexton, Ann E. Williams, Joe V. Williams III, Peggy Gaston Wiseman, Joe V.W. Gaston, Charlres M. Gaston, and Hildegarde Gaston Teckienberg.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to either Bethel Bible Village or your favorite charity.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Steve Wallace and Rev. Ken Camp officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service.

Arrangements are by Wann Funeral Home.
