The Bryan College Lady Lions faced conference opponent Brevard College Friday night and won 3-0 with scores of 30-25, 30-20 and 30-21. They took a win over Montreat on Saturday morning.
Abby Humphrey led the Lady Lions against Brevard with 10 kills and 2 blocks. Anna Rusch had 7 kills and 4 blocks, and Katie Quillen had 7 kills and 8 digs.
Randi Mellon had 25 assists and 2 service aces.
Bryan battled out of three close games that were tied in the upper teens. Coach Jerri Morgan was proud of the Lions. "We pulled away at the end of each game by playing consistent and smart volleyball."
Bryan won over Montreat 3-2 with scores of 30-17, 28-30, 30-26, 27-30, 15-10.
Abby Humbrey had 14 kills and 14 service aces. Randi Mellon had 38 assists and 19 digs. Anna Rusch had 10 kills and 3 blocks and service aces. Alissa Stoneberger had 11 kills
Katie Quillen had 8 kills. Christine Pratt had 24 digs.
Bryan's record is now 6-5 and 4-1 in the AAC.
Montreat is now 4-4 and 2-2 in the conference.
Brevard is now 6-2 and 3-2.
