EPB recently hired Diana Bullock for the position of Economic Development Manager. Diana joins EPB with over 30 years of experience in the utility industry and a strong background in economic development.

"EPB developed this position as part of our continuing efforts to support our company's mission statement which is to improve the quality of life in our community," said David Wade V.P. of Engineering and Construction.

"Diana's primary role will be to create a Key Customer Program for our commercial and industrial customers to help provide them with the service and support they need to grow and prosper. We know that 80% of the economic development for a community comes from existing business and we believe we can play a key role with these customers and support the economic development efforts of our community," said Wade.

In addition to working with existing industry Diana will also partner with the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and other economic development groups both on the local and state level to help recruit new business to our area.

"Energy costs, reliability and service are critical issues to many businesses when they are looking to expand or locate in an area and Diana will be an expert resource to these economic development groups during the recruitment process," said Wade.

"We believe the implementation of this new position for our company will help our customers by providing them with a higher level of service. It will help our company by building loyalty with our customers and it will help our community not only stay strong but to grow as well," said Harold DePriest, President and CEO of EPB.

Prior to joining EPB, Diana worked for over 30 years at Huntsville Utilities where she held various leadership roles. Her most recent position was with TVA where she managed the economic development and utility accounts in the state of Alabama.

She attended Alverson Draughan Business College and is a Certified Power Executive from the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association (TVPPA).
