Gets Platinum Plaque Recognizing Total of $40 Million Plus

Greg DeMars, with Sun Trust Bank, was presented the top award by the Chattanooga Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) for top production in 2003.

He was the sole recipient of a platinum award for $40 million plus, based on 2003 volume closing production.

The awards were presented at the February MBA luncheon at the Chattanooga Choo Choo where writer and entertainer Dalton Roberts entertained the group.

During the luncheon four members received gold awards, for $30 million to $40 million in production, 14 received silver awards for $20 million to $30 million and 24 were presented bronze awards for $12 million to $20 million.

Gold award recipients were Celena Cummins, FSG Bank; Jack Shelton, Wells Fargo; Bootsie Yates, First Tennessee Bank; and Jill Green, AmSouth Bank.

Silver awards went to Linda Denham, First Trust Mortgage; Gaye Demars and Chris Shoemake, both First Volunteer Bank; Jan Morgan, Kelly Huquenin and Patricia Lowery, Sun Trust Bank; Carol Miller, First Tennessee Bank; Terre Webb, Mortgage Investor Group; Darren Strickland, Lisa Baskette and Darlene Boyd, AmSouth Bank; Karen Flores, Cornerstone Bank; Cathy Jones, Bank of America; and Melanie Huddleston, Home Services Financial.

Receiving bronze awards were Sherry Hodges, First Trust Mortgage; Sandy Hodges, First Volunteer Bank; Sarah White, Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union; Cindy Rix, Wells Fargo; Brian Griffith, Cindy Gilliam, John Kain, Carol Ann Hopson and Rita Haynie, all Sun Trust Bank; Janet Hillis and Debbie Beene, First Tennessee Bank; Brian Kniegge, Mortgage Investors Group; Dale Whaley, Mortgage South; Connie Fox, American Home Mortgage; Lori McKenzie and Sharon Inglis, AmSouth Bank; Vickie Phillips, Sandy Houston and Joel Austin, American Acceptance Mortgage; Diane Briggs and Sharon Beck, Community Mortgage; Shain Pettigrew, Bank of America; Rhonda Atkins and Chad Harris, Home Services Financial.
