Field experiences include joining Chattanooga police on patrol duty and meeting with state leaders in Nashville.

A major initiative for Leadership Chattanooga is the development of team projects. The 2004 graduating class projects included The Clean Air Olympics, an educational project to raise awareness of the causes of air pollution; One Parent at a Time, a program to increase parent participation at Rivermont Elementary; Chattanooga On the Move, a board game based on Chattanooga and its history; O.N.E. U.P. (Opportunities New & Exciting. . .Utterly Priceless), a program designed to help high school students learn, develop and utilize business etiquette and work ethic skills to achieve their career goals; and a Habitat for Humanity support program to help build a neighborhood in the Shepard area off Airport Road.

Diane Parks, Chamber director of leadership and community development, supervises the Leadership Chattanooga program.

The graduation luncheon is sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, TVA, The Real Yellow Pages and UnumProvident.
