As Christmas comes each year many families have their children photographed. This year White Oak Baptist church is offering an opportunity to have a photograph made in the manger.
This free service will be available Saturdays and Sundays in December from 3-6 p.m. at the church’s fellowship hall. There is no charge and each family will receive a photograph of their visit to the manger.
Stan Braley, the church pastor said, “We realize there is nothing wrong with having pictures taken with Santa but by having a child’s picture taken as part of the nativity it affords families a great opportunity to teach them about the true meaning of Christmas.”
Costumes are provided for both adult and children who wish to be photographed.
The dates for the “Pictures at the Manger” are Dec. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to provide families with a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas by taking pictures of their children and themselves beside the manger,” said Pastor Braley.
Families are welcome to bring their own cameras.
Interactive maps, directions and more information are available on the church’s web site.
White Oak Baptist Church is located at 310 Memorial Drive in Red Bank.
Video, photo and interview opportunities will be made available before or after the service. Please contact Harry T. Stone with any questions.
