Raymond Ballou, Sr., 66, of Chattanooga, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005, in a local hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie Gates Ballou; son, Raymond (Jackie) Ballou, Jr., of Lithonia, GA; daughter, Lynn (Craig) Smith, of Stone Mountain, GA; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Ballou, of Chattanooga; sisters, Juanita Ballou, of Ooltewah, and Sarah (Ed) Harrison, of Chattanooga; uncles, LeVon (Mildred) Johnson, of Chicago, Herman (Eva) Johnson, of Cleveland, OH, Morris (Lucille) Johnson, of Chattanooga, and Andrew Johnson, of Ooltewah; aunts, Laverta (Leon) Tatum and Anita Johnson, both of Ooltewah, Josephine Stone, of Chattanooga, and Luzelle (Thomas) Swoope, of Chicago; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Brother Michael Ludy officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
