Ima Jean Baker, 73, of Cedar Bluff, AL, formerly of Rossville, died Sunday, September 18, 2005 in a local health care facility.
She was born in Rossville and graduated from Lakeview High School. Mrs. Baker was a member of Enon Grove Baptist Church of Cedar Bluff, AL.
She was self-employed for many years doing custom arts, crafts and sewing. She was a successful oil painter having been honored with shows in Alabama and Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend of 49 years, Clarence “Buddy” Baker.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Terry Goodman, Ringgold; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Lisa Baker, Atlanta, Steve and Sandy Baker, Harriman; sister, Donnie Blount, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Ella Louise and Darryl Jackson, Decatur, TN; brothers, Larry Blevins, Knoxville, Paul Blevins Atlanta; grandchildren, Lance Baker, Megan Goodman Creamer, Gabe Goodman, Casey Ollice, Brandon Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel with Rev. Steve Moore and Rev. Michael Morton officiating. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
