Chattanooga State’s popular Commercial Truck Driving classes make their debut at the Kimball site on Oct. 23. This 7 1/2 week course provides students with a minimum of 300 driving miles on all types of roads and in all kinds of conditions. Students must be age 21 or older.

Students receive basic training in the principles and skills of commercial truck operations. The program also includes proper load and vehicle documentation, as well as safe operation and a review of all federal, state and local laws.

Applicants may call the Kimball site, located at 426 Battle Creek Road, at 423-837-1327, or the Commercial Truck Driving program director at 423-875-8448.

Current students who attend Chattanooga State Kimball, or potential students desiring more information about enrollment or testing requirements, will want to meet with Doug Byrd on Oct. 23 between 9-12 p.m. Mr. Byrd also provides interpretations of the Myers Briggs Career Inventory or the Strong Campbell tests, if taken ahead of time. Make an appointment by telephoning 423-697-4421.
