Dana Beth Davis, age 48, of Ooltewah, formerly of Salisbury, Md., died on Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at her home.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church in Salisbury. She worked with deaf and autistic children and actively taught American Sign Language. She was a member of the North Carolina Deaf and Blind Association.
Her father, Arch Lerue Brown, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Donnie Davis; one son, Matthew Davis of Ooltewah; mother, Gloria Brown of Morrisville, N.C.; two brothers, Lerue Brown of Hanover, Pa.; James Brown of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Elsie Strine of Aberdeen, Md.; Patti Luzi-Earley of Chantilly, Va.; Joanne Corn of Raleigh, N.C.; mother-and-father-in-law, Don and Amy Davis of Roxboro, N.C.; brother-in-law, Greg Davis of Garner, N.C.; sister-in-law, Amy Tingen of Roxboro, N.C.; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at First Baptist Church in Cary, N.C. with Rev. Bill Warren officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn.
