J.D. "Hot Rod" Castleberry, 65, died Friday, April 21, 2006.

Mr. Castleberry was born in Dade County, GA, the son of the late William Paul and Alma Irene Pryor Castleberry. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Pond Fork Baptist Church.

He is survived by his two sisters, Nellie Dyer, of Gainesville, GA, Mary Lee York, of Ringgold, GA; three brothers, Billy Castleberry, of East Ridge, Eddie Castleberry, of Flintstone, GA, Roy Castleberry, of Trenton, GA; extended family, Jeff, Dana and Jacob Hogan, of Pendergrass.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Pond Fork Baptist Church, Pendergrass, with the Rev. Johnny Knight and Jeff Hogan officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, GA.
