Florence Follmer Brouwer, 93, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at her son's home in Effingham, N.H., with her son, Winston, and her daughter, Heather, at her side.
She was born Aug. 14, 1912, in New York City, New York, and had lived in Greenwich, Ct., before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where she had lived later moving to Andrews, N.C. and then moved to live with her daughter Heather in Hixson.
Mrs. Brouwer was an active member of the Middle Valley Baptist Church, where she was a volunteer with the church and other community activities.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ogden Brouwer, in 1983 and was also predeceased by her first husband, Thornburn Rand, in 1982.
Mrs. Brouwer is survived by her children, Laurence Rand, Scottsdale, Ariz.,; Winston Rand, Beverly, Mass.; Heather Beardsley, Hixson, and Renee Mullinax, Denton, Tex. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Valley Town Cemetery, Andrews, N.C.
Lord Funeral Home, Center Ossipee, N.H., assisted the family with arrangements.
