My wife and I had visited the scenic city about a week ago, seeing some family we have up there. One of the places they took us to was the River Street Deli in the downtown area.
Superb I must say first of all. I wrote to the dining guru about this also but wanted to put this out there for others to see. It was a very busy day there by all accounts, and during conversation we had not heard our number called out.
A young man in almost no time at all brought us our plates, four in hand (as a pro it seemed), anyhow he did not have to do this. Yet he did and asked us if all was okay. His name was Patrick, my wife found out after asking him. This may seem like something that is no big deal to most people, but from where we come from it is a huge deal.
A very easy going and hard working fellow is how he came across, very friendly as was the owner who at the time of me writing this e-mail has written me back. Bruce Weiss has a great concept here. I have been to New York many times for work and he has the market on the deli idea in your town. He also has a wonderful group of people who work there for him. This Patrick proves to me there are still hard working people in this world.
I wish to applaud and say thank you to the River Street Deli and to Chattanooga for a great time we had while visiting. It is a wonderful city and we were so very impressed.
We will be back in town very soon and we'll be eating right down there once again.
