Grace Reed, 73, of Rossville, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 in a local hospital.
She was a lifelong member of Newnan Springs United Methodist Church, served as secretary of the Friendship Sunday School Class and was a member of the Craft Club. She was retired from AmSouth Bank and was a member of the Red Hat Society.
Grace was preceded in death by a son, Steve Reed and her father Floyd Thomason.
She is survived by her husband, Johnny Reed; three sons, Rick Reed and wife, Cindy of Rossville, Jerry Reed and wife, Cathy of Lilburn, Ga., and Wally Reed of San Bernadino, Ca.; five grandchildren, Michelle Pendergrass and husband Jason, Jessica Reed, Leslie Gilbreath and husband Clint, Johnathan Reed and Josh Reed; three great-grandchildren, Logan Pendergrass, Cole Reed Pendergrass and Melanie Gilbreath; one brother, James Thomason; one sister, Betty Jo Thomason; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist with the Rev. Mike Lowery officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
