Denise Adele Wood Frizzell, 54, of Harrison, died on Saturday morning, June 28, 2008, in Erlanger hospital.
Denise was born in Topeka, Ks., on June 11, 1954, and lived most of her life in Ooltewah.
She was a graduate of Ooltewah High School and had been employed as a phlebotomist with Harrison Medical Center. She was devoted to her children and was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church in Ooltewah.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Treva Burns Wood; her brother, Roger Wood; and her grandparents, John and Cora Wood and Bill and Carrie Burns.
She is survived by her son, Steven Scott Frizzell at home; her daughter, Carrie (Tyler) Bannon, of Las Vegas, Ne.; her father and stepmother, Kenneth and Julia Wood, of Ooltewah; and her sister, Kelly (Vernon) Howard, of Soddy-Daisy.
Funeral services for Denise will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. James Vaughn officiating.
Graveside services and burial will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in the New McDonald Cemetery in Harrison.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, Tn., where they will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and from 9 a.m. on Tuesday until the time of the service.
