Raymond C. Brown, 84, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mr. Brown was born June 28, 1924 in Vineland, N.J. and was the son of the late John and Grace Brown. He was a retired engineer from Tectonics, a member of the VFW – American Legion, and a WWII Army Paratrooper veteran. He was a member of the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Faith Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Alice E. Brown, Ooltewah, Tn.; children, Lauri Beth Brown, Burtonsville, Md., Heidi Orndorff, St. Albans, Vt., Raymond C. Brown Jr., Lodi, Ca., Christopher H. Brown, Ooltewah, Tn.; sisters, Audrey Syphewski, Hackettstown, N.J., Louise Mullen, N.J.; brothers, V. Clifford Brown, Fl., Ted Brown, Ca., and three grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Timothy Brown, and Lily Orndorff.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Don Gettys officiating. Interment will follow in Collegedale Cemetery.
