Iva Katherine Hyche, 96, of Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, died on Monday, September 29, 2008, at a local hospital.
She was the daughter of the late A.A. and Nancy Hartley and was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Hyche.
She was a member of South Soddy Baptist Church and was affectionately known to her grandchildren as "Big Mama."
Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy (Gene) Bryant, of Soddy-Daisy, Tn., JoAnn (Cliff) LeFevers, of Gibraltar, Mi., Sue (Thomas) Paszkiewicz, of Lincoln Park, Mi.; six grandchildren, Randall (Billie) Bryant, Renee (Fred) White, Cliff (Diane) LeFevers, Dale (Linda) Pate, Larry (Brenda) Pate; seven great-grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Hickey, Michelle (Gary) Tallent, C.J. LeFevers, Peter LeFevers, Carrissa LeFevers, Danielle LeFevers, Lee Pate; and four great-great-grandchildren, Austin and Sydney Hickey, Jacob and Madison Tallent.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday in the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel with Pastor Steve Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 5201 Dayton Blvd., or Hospice of Chattanooga.
