Herman Easley, 77, of Chattanooga, died on Sunday, January 18, 2009.
Mr. Easley was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a longtime coach and league president of Dixie Youth Baseball in the Red Bank area, and an avid Ole Miss Rebel fan.
Mr. Easley was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Inez Easley; sister, Maylene Ford, brother, Pete Easley of Houlka, Ms.; daughter-in-law, Pamela Easley of Harrison.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Easley of Hixson, sons; Andy (Mary) Easley of Birmingham, Al., Marcus Easley of Harrison; grandchildren, Erin (Kyle) Hoerbert of Hartsburg, Il., Emily Easley of Tuscaloosa, Al., and Zac Easley of Auburn, Al.; brother-in-law, James L. Sexton of Bridgeport, Al.; sister-in-law, Janet Sexton of Hixson; niece, Karen Sims of Las Vegas, Ne., and nephew Eddie Sexton of Bridgeport, Al.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
The family is having a private memorial service and is receiving friends.
In lieu of flowers, Mr. Easley requested that donations be sent to the Red Cross in his name.
