Singerman Crowned Lee Homecoming Queen

Jill Singerman was crowned Lee University's Homecoming Queen during halftime of the Flames basketball game on Saturday afternoon in the Walker Arena.

Ms. Singerman, from La Veta, Co., is a public relations major with a minor in psychology. Her campus involvements include Student Leadership Council and Alternative Chapel Committee, and she is Student Development student worker. She is the daughter of Greg and Candy Singerman.

Ms. Singerman was escorted by senior Blake Joiner.

Mr. Joiner is a public relations major from Lawrenceville, Ga. His campus involvements include Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society, and he is a member of Alpha Gamma Chi.

Other candidates representing the senior class were Ann Claire Butler, escorted by Kent Williams, Taylor Dockery, escorted by Brady Smith, and Kelsey Glasser, escorted by Jordan Hicks.

Ms. Butler, from Nashville, is majoring in history with a pre-law minor. She is a member of the tennis team, Sigma Nu Sigma and the Phi Mu Alpha History Honors Society. She is also involved in Theta Delta Kappa. Ms. Butler is the daughter of Randy and Stacy Butler.

Mr. Williams is from Cincinnati, Oh. He is majoring in business administration and is a member of Theta Delta Kappa. He is the son of Stephen and Cheryl Williams.

Ms. Dockery, from Jasper, Tn., is a communications major with an emphasis in public relations. She is a member of Sigma Nu Sigma and is a Global Perspectives travel guide. Her campus involvements include Theta Delta Kappa, Lambda Pi Eta Communication Honor Society and Alpha Chi. She is the daughter of Jake and Amy Dockery.

Mr. Smith is from Rome, Ga. He is majoring in both church music and music business. He is a member of Theta Delta Kappa and Campus Choir and is involved in Omega Alpha Phi.

Ms. Glasser is a history major with a minor is psychology and communications. She is a member of Omega Alpha Phi and is involved with A-Force, Kappa Lambda Iota, Phi Alpha Theta and the Alternative Chapel Steering Committee. Ms. Glasser is from Bismarck, N.D. and is the daughter of Neva Glasser.

Mr. Hicks is a business administration major from Charlotte, N.C. His campus involvements include Omega Alpha Phi, Peer Leading and Kairos Honor Corp. He is a member of Theta Delta Kappa.

Representatives for the junior class were Heather Atkins, escorted by Robert Counts, and Alexandra Powell, escorted by Daniel McKee.

Ms. Atkins is a psychology major with a music minor from Elkton, Md. She is a member of Sigma Nu Sigma and the Psychology Club. She is the daughter of Darrel and Carol Atkins.

Mr. Counts is a biochemistry major from Franklin, Tn. He is a resident assistant and is involved with Life Bridge Ministries and Phi Eta Sigma. He is the son of David and Robin Counts.

Ms. Powell is a telecommunications major from Sandy Lake, Pa. She is a member of Student Leadership Council, Lambda Phi Eta Communication Honor Society and College Republicans. Her campus involvements include Big Pal Little Pal and intramurals, and she is a peer advisor and mentor and an academic support tutor. She is the daughter of John and Karen Powell.

Mr. McKee is a music education major from Greenville, S.C. His campus involvements include Lee Singers, Lee Chorale and A-Force. He is also a peer leader. He is the son of Allen and Vickie McKee.

Sophomore representatives were Holly Helton, escorted by Daniel Diffenderfer, and Morgan Kerns, escorted by Stephen Van Gorp.

Ms. Helton is a psychology major from Franklin, Tn. Her campus involvements include Tuesday Night Prayer and Invisible Children club. She is the daughter of Charles and Suzanna Helton.

Mr. Diffenderfer is a political science major from Carthage, Tn. He is a member of College Republicans and is a Kairos Honors Scholar. Other campus involvements include Shenanigans Improv Team and Podcasting for Student Media. He is the son of Scott and Jane Diffenderfer.

Ms. Kerns is an elementary education major from Danville, Va. Her campus involvements include the Student Leadership Council and Big Pal Little Pal. She is the daughter of Tim and Carol Kerns.

Mr. Van Gorp is a psychology major from Marietta, Ga. He is a member of Theta Delta Kappa, and his campus involvements include Omega Alpha Phi, Tuesday Night Prayer, Student Leadership Council and Phi Eta Sigma.

Freshman representatives were Ana Trevino, escorted by Timothy Erdei, and Rose Saglembeni, escorted by Matt Austin.

Ms. Trevino is a public relations major from Jacksonville, Fl. She is a member of Lee Singers and the daughter of Raul and Annette Trevino.

Mr. Erdei is a biology pre-med major from Inkster, Mi. He is a member of Lee Singers and the son of George and Pamela Erdei.

Ms. Saglembeni is a business major with a music minor from Burlington N.J. Her campus involvements include Student Leadership Council and Life Bridge Ministries. She is the daughter of Phil and Claire Saglembeni.

Mr. Austin is a biology pre-med major from Marietta, Ga. He is a small group floor leader and the son of Gary and Reva Austin.

The court was presented during halftime of the homecoming basketball game on Saturday afternoon.
