Selma Anderson, 86, of Dalton, Ga., died on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Moses Anderson, Sr.; two sons, Mr. Moses Anderson, Jr. and Mr. George Anderson; one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Jean Bonds; and one granddaughter, Ms. Makeba Bonds.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Anderson (Mickey Bryant) Payton of Dalton; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alice Anderson of Chattanooga; brother, Mr. Paul Anderson of Valley Grove, WV; sister, Mrs. Minnie Tolson of Wheeling, WV; six grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a devoted niece, Ms. JoAnn Smith of Dalton; other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. at Mountain Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry D. Jones, Sr. officiating. Interment will take place in West Hill Cemetery.
Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Saturday and the family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 7, from 6-7 p.m.
