The first play at the CTC created especially for pre-K and early school-age audiences. The ‘A’ Play, a fun-filled look at the letter ‘A’, was created and is performed by TheatreQuest – young people aged 13 – 19 who are interested in pursuing theatre as a career – and uses Saturday Night Live-style sketch comedy to explore words. Admission to the play is $5 for all ages, and there is ample seating in chairs for the older set and on the floor surrounding the stage for the younger ones.


Auditions for the CircleStage production of Psycho Beach Party will be held May 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. Roles are available for seven men and four women. All actors must be out of high school to audition. Magge Hudgins directs this CircleStage production, staged June 28 – July 18.

This theatrical event is a meditation on the playwright’s devastating, real-life car/bicycle accident this past summer. A Neo-Futuristic attempt to reconnect to friends and life, the cast sets out to find out if theatre should be therapy or not. Everybody’s favorite round-headed kid, Charlie Brown, and all the Peanuts gang from comic strip created by Charles Schultz are featured in this musical comedy. Share the day with Charlie Brown as he admires the Little Red-Hair Girl from afar, plays a frustrating baseball game, and watches as his dog Snoopy becomes the World War I Flying Ace.
