William “Bill" Twymon Ragsdale Jr., 69, formerly of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, August 1, 2009 in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.
Bill was a born athlete. He competed in track and field, football, boxing and any other sport that provided competition. After graduating from Howard High School in 1959, Bill joined the U.S. Marine Corps.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Twymon Sr., and Geneva Ragsdale; former wife, Janice Ragsdale; sister, Jackie Thomas; brother, Thomas Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Doretha Culliver; sons, Eric Todd Ragsdale and Rikki Todd Ragsdale; stepchildren, Twila, Bradley, Danita, Doletha, Bonnie and Laura Culliver and Kelly Culliver-Nelson; his siblings, Ruthie Dollison, Genie Ragsdale, Alvin (Darrell), Theresa Patterson, Caroline Moore, Yvonne Barrett and Labron Williams; seventeen grandchildren; a host of other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, Aug. 7, in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. at 2 p.m. PST.
