80’z Enuff Will Headline Balloons And Tunes Festival Rock And Oldies Night

  • Wednesday, September 2, 2009

The 80's cover band 80’z Enuff will headline The River Stage on Friday, Sept. 18, at 8 p.m. at the Balloons and Tunes Festival in Rock Spring, Ga.

80'z Enuff, based out of Greensboro, N.C., has been playing all the hits from the 80's and more since 2002. The quartet travels extensively throughout the East Coast playing everywhere from Miami, Fl., to Princeton, N.J., and from The Outer Banks of N.C., to the Mississippi River.

The band plays all genres of music from the 80's and covers all the major hits. And when 80’s aren’t enough, the band is also able to cover hits from other genres as well such as Motown, Beach, Country, Jazz Standards, Disco, and Classic Rock.

80'z Enuff takes pride in the music they cover and strives hard to cover the songs as close to the original recording as possible in a live setting. Not only is the band known for the amazing music they play, but the band is also known for having one of the most entertaining intelligent light and video shows on the Southeast Circuit.

Classic rock band Crawfish Gordon will open for 80’z Enuff at 6 p.m. on the River Stage. Crawfish Gordon was formed in the early months of 2006 by high school friends Owen Miller, Aaron Lowrance and Jonathan Cocker. They remained nameless for almost a year until the band roster was set in stone.

Crawfish Gordon is a seven-piece band consisting of drums, percussion, two guitars, bass, sax and singer, all of whom hail from the Chattanooga area. The band has been making a name for itself in the Chattanooga area over the last few years with great live shows and a growing compilation of original music.

Other bands playing on Friday will include Wire Rose and Joint Effort.

The festival will include tethered hot air balloon rides, a Comcast kid zone, arts and crafts, and various food vendors. Comcast is also offering a coupon for a free On Demand movie to the first 1,000 adults to enter the festival after the gates open at 4 p.m. on Friday.
