Harold William “Bill” Oppenheimer was born on July 7, 1966, and died on September 19, 2009.

He graduated with a degree in political science from Mercer University in Macon, Ga., and a law degree from St. Thomas University in Miami, Fl. He worked at Convergys in Chattanooga.

Bill was kind to everyone he met and always offered others his smile and a helping hand. He helped tutor students in math, loved music, movies and current events.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Oppenheimer and sister, Gretchen Stetson.

Survivors are his parents, Bill and Teresa Oppenheimer of Ocala, Fl.; sisters, Lara Oppenheimer of Chicago, Il., Jaime Oppenheimer of Wichita, Ks., Stefanie, Allison and Emily Oppenheimer of Ocala, Fl., and brothers, Doug Oppenheimer of Dallas, Tx., and Joshua Oppenheimer of Lynchburg, Va.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, Valley View Chapel.
