Myrtle Muse Bagley Davidson, of Dalton, Ga., died Friday morning, Jan. 8, 2010 at the local hospital.
Miss Myrtle was born April 9, 1923 in Whitfield County, Ga., a daughter of the late Lester and Maggie Gaston Muse; and was also preceded in death by her sons, Charles Chuck Bagley and Winfred Bagley; grandsons, Matthew Grant, Billy Bagley and James Bagley; and brothers, Rev. Billy Muse, John J.L. Muse and Jack Muse.
She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Kelly Grant of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Lottie Bagley of Resaca; daughter-in-law, Pam Bagley of Calhoun, Ga.; sister, Tommie Amos of Dalton; brothers and sister-in-law, Louie and Mildred Muse of Resaca and Eugene Muse of Dalton; special grandchildren, Sandra Redmond, Roger Bagley, Jr. and Lucas Grant; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Myrtle Davidson will be held Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Joel Southerland, Reverend Kelly Grant and Dr. Danny Cochran officiating. She will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roger Bagley, Jr., Caleb Redmond, Lucas Grant, Gene Redmond, Jr., Mark Parrish and Scott Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Amos and Jerry Cooper.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday, Jan. 10 & 11.
