Eddie Lee Jones died on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010.
He was born Sept. 22, 1948, in Chattanooga to the late Cornelius Freeman and Carrie Bell Jones.
He was employed by Eckerd-Rite Aid Drugs for 28 years as a truck driver. He was a fun loving person who could warm up anyone's heart with his smile. He loved to cook, entertain and spend time with his friends and family.
Later in life he accepted Christ as his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ernest Thaxton and William Freeman; one sister, Mildred Smith.
He is survived by his three children, Deon (Tonica) Jones, Nyree (Daemus) Taylor, Tameka (Myron) Butler; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Emma Patton, Alice (Eugene) Norman, Goldie Thomas; six brothers, Herschel (Edith) Garrett, John Lewis, Bobby (Janice), Joseph, James Sr., Alfonzo Jones; one aunt, Lillie Sturdivant; a very special friend, Isabelle Moneyham; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
