Lookouts Rally Falls Short As Smokies Win, 8-6

Chattanooga dropped their third straight game to Tennessee falling to the Smokies Friday, 8-6.

The Lookouts were down 8-0 going into the sixth inning but scored one in the sixth, three in the seventh, and two in the ninth falling short by two runs.

The Smokies finished with 13 hits; the Lookouts collected 10.

Chattanooga moves on to Zebulon, NC where they will play a four-game set with the Carolina Mudcats.

The Lookouts return home July 22 to play a five-game series with the Mobile BayBears.
Kyle Russell went 3-4 and hit his second home run in as many nights. Jerry Sands was 2-4 with a homer Jaime Pedroza went 2-3.

Losing pitcher Tim Sexton (3-10) had a rough outing going 3 2/3 innings while giving up 10 hits and seven runs (all earned).
