Fern Dillon, 86, of Hixson, died on Friday, August 13, 2010.

Fern was a member of Red Bank Church of Christ and had retired from TVA after 38 years of service. During World War II, she worked in a Remington Arms Plant in Kansas
City, Mo.

Fern was a charter member and past chief of the Volunteer Pythian Sisters
Temple No. 1 in Rockwood, Tn.

Survivors are her husband, Floyd (Matt) Dillon; son, John B. Dillon, Reno, Nevada; nieces and nephews and many friends in the Chattanooga and Rockwood areas.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace, with Minister Steve Lusk officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, at Lane Funeral Home.
