Larry Joe Esparza, 61, died in the comfort of his home on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011.

He was born on June 21, 1949, in Chattanooga. Mr. Esparza was of the Baptist faith, a former Senior Systems Analyst with Unum Group who enjoyed Classic Cars - Corvettes, boating and camping.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Esparza; an infant brother, Kenneth; grandparents, E.W. "Pap" and Frankie Milhorn.

Survivors include his loving wife, Connie Catlett Esparza; mother, Barbara Esparza, both of Rossville; two children and spouses, Stacey and Shane Foley, of Rock Spring, Larry Joe, JR. "Joey" and Tina Esparza, of Rossville; two stepchildren and spouses, Abbe and Shane Egeland, of Fort Oglethorpe, Holly and Matt Davis, of Ballground, Ga.; three grandchildren, Kyla Foley, Alivia Egeland, and Austin Davis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
