Ione Vivian Simpson, 87, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in a local health care facility.
She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Ross Simpson.
She is survived by two daughters, Renee Weitz and Teena Massey, both of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Michael Massey and Kelli Flood; one great-granddaughter, Vivienne Flood.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
