Linda Sue Chastain, 49, of Dalton, Ga., died Friday morning, April 29, 2011 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born on Feb. 5, 1962 in Dalton, to the late Harold John Chastain; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Tony Clark Simmons; and her sisters, Janice Marie Chastain and Karen Chastain Randon.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Lee Cross and Andrew Anthony Cross; daughters, Amber Ann Chastain and Crystal Michelle Cross; her mother, Dimple Louise Chastain; brother and sister-in-law, Gary Lamar and Freida Chastain; sisters and brother-in-law, Kathy Diane and Tommy Lee Milsap and Glenda Chastain; and seven grandchildren, all of Dalton.
Services to celebrate the life of Linda Sue Chastain will be held Tuesday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Deep Springs Baptist church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday, May 1 and 2, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
